TIC permits to detect and correct accessibility problems through the combination of automatic and manual revision tools. Staffs of experts on accessibility and web standards application ensure that private companies and Public Administration comply with national and international laws and regulations applicable to web accesibility.
The regulations that require Spanish public administrations to take the necessary measures to make their web sites accessible to all citizens came into effect on January 1st 2006. In order to meet such requirement, public administrations will apply the guidelines issued by W3C-WAI (the group that builds accessibility standards). CTIC Foundation, as an expert on W3C standardization, and more specifically on web accesibility, collaborates with public institutions and companies in the design of web environments that will permit access to all citizens, regardless of their age, disability or culture.

The effect of the regulations on accessibility implies the need to check its compliance. That is the reason why CTIC Foundation and IES (European Software Institute) have put together their specific expertise (CTIC Foundation, as expert on accessibility, and ESI, as expert on certifications) to design an international certification of web accessibility, aimed to become a quality mark and a guarantee on the compliance of the technical accessibility recommendations issued by the W3C-WAI group.
CTIC Foundation has developed the TAW accessibility analyser (www.tawdis.net), a tool that provides for the analysis, information and proposal of solutions to the accessibility problems of a web site. It is based on the Guidelines on Accessibility to web Content 1.0 (WCAG 1.0). TAW is the first accessibility tool in Spanish: it is the national and Latin American point of reference.
CTIC Foundation has provided its support and services to a large number of public institutions and companies within the web accessibility field, among them:
