AENOR, Web accessibility audits

This certification is based on UNE 139803:2004, which uses W3C WCAG 1.0. specifications as its reference and has been developed in collaboration with the European Software Institute and AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification).

Objective:

Its goal is to help organisations ensure that their websites meet the accessibility criteria and maintain these criteria over time, through the regular supervision of audited websites. AENOR will award a quality mark that certifies that the audited website meets the requisites of the standard.

The goals of this certification are to:

  • Audit and certify the degree of accessibility of different web portals.
  • Carry out regular checks on these websites, ensuring that these accessibility criteria are maintained over time.

The CTIC Foundation:

  • Has taken on the role of AENOR inspector, in line with the current product certification procedures.
  • meets the deontological and supervisory requisites established by AENOR for carrying out product certification tasks and, above all, meets requirements in terms of the independence needed to take on assessment and/or consulting tasks.

Services:

This agreement implies that CTIC provide the following services to the standardisation body:

  • Certification by AENOR of CTIC Foundation inspectors.
  • Audits of web portals requested by the AENOR association.
