The goal of Semantic Technologies Unit is to put "information at the fingertips of the right people".

Semantic enrichment of the information, based on the RDF, OWL and RIF languages defined by the W3C, provides added value to the data and contributes to enlarge the current web of documents with a new web of data.

The Semantic Technologies Unit is involved in research projects based on innovative proposals to complex challenges related with information management. Our solutions adapt in a non-intrusive way to the existing IT systems in order to ease adoption by final users.
