Software results
These are some software project in which CTIC has played a role as a promoter, leading
organization or contributor. Please note that each one has its own use terms:
- AGUA
- AGUA is a library that automates the process of grounding for semantic web services. The
grounding is the transformation of messages between the representations of syntactic and semantic
web services. This library is implemented in .NET, although support for other platforms may be
included in the future. It is distributed under a
LGPL3 license. AGUA is a result of
the research project PRIMA, which is partially funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism
and Trade under grant IST-020302-2008-32.

- EzWeb
- EzWeb is a mash-up platform which provides a new generation web front-end layer to the Service
Oriented Architectures for the end user. It is available under an
AGPL3 license. EzWeb is partially
funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade under grant FIT-340503-2007-2.

- eZaragoza
- The eZaragoza project is a research effort promoted by the Web Office of the Zaragoza city
council. Based on the EzWeb platform, eZaragoza offers a space where citizens can interactuate with
the new generation services provided by the Zaragoza city council, build as "mashups" and
customizable by the user. In particular, the project offers two services in two complementary
areas: one mashup dedicated for the tourist promotion, and the other for the social citizen

- mobileOK checker
- mobileOK checker is the W3C reference implementation that allows someone to check easily
whether a Web page conforms to the mobileOK Basic Tests 1.0 specification. It is written in Java
and distributed under a W3C license.

- MyMobileWeb
- MyMobileWeb is an open source, standards-based software framework that simplifies the rapid
development of mobile web applications and portals. It is distributed under
LGPL3 license.

- Parrot
- Parrot is a set of tools that generate automatically reference documentation for RIF rules, OWL
ontologies and combination of them. Parrot is available as an
online service and its source code is distributed
under Eclipse Public License.

- Pintaius
- Pintaius is a library for representation of statistical charts in
SVG. This project was developed in
collaboration with the Research Group of Networking and Telematics Services of the University of
Oviedo, based on the winner idea of the first W3C Prize for the Web Standarization.

- RDFa Developer
- An extension for Firefox that allows to visualize, query and debug RDFa annotated documents.

- RDFohloh
- RDFohloh is a Linked Data wrapper for the
Ohloh open source project directory. The service is under the
Ohloh API use terms, and the source code is distributed under the
GPL3 license.

- RESTinpy
- A Python library to ease the publication of REST-style web services in Django applications,
especially (but not exclusively) those using the Django Model framework. The package is licensed
under
LGPL3.

- RIFle
- RIFLE is a suite of tools for the Rule Interchange Format (RIF). It is focused on RIF-Core and
RIF-PRD and their combination with other Semantic Web standards such as RDF, OWL and SPARQL.

- TeRRAS
- TeRRAS is a Java library that allows to filter and rank a list of objects by measuring their
matching against a set of demands. If the demands are some user's preferences, then TERRAS can be
useful for service personalization. The package is licensed under
GPL3.

- SPARQL Python Wrapper
- SPARQL Python Wrapper is a small library that eases querying a SPARQL endpoint from Python
scripts. It is distributed under the W3C license.

- SWAML
- SWAML allows to publish mailing lists' archives as Linked Data. It is developed by CTIC in
collaboration with the WESO research group at University of Oviedo. The source code is available
under the
GPL3 license.

- Vapour
- Vapour is a validation service to check whether semantic web data is correctly published
according to the current best practices, as defined by the Linked Data principles, the Best
Practice Recipes and the Cool URIs. An online service is available, and the source code is
distributed under the W3C license.

- WASUP
- The main aim of the WASUP project is the definition of a reference model or architecture for
plant supervision monitoring and control by leveraging other projects such as SmartFlow and EzWeb.
The source code is available under the terms of the
GPL3 license.

- WodiDoc
- WodiDoc is a semantic-based document composition tool which integrates with the new generation
software forge of the
Vulcano project, although it can also be used
standalone. The key to WodiDoc is the re-use of information fragments in order to maximize the
productivity when creating new documents. The source code is available under the
GPL3 license. The development of
WodiDoc is partially funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade.
